Spring Calendar is Here!

With the warmer temperatures this week, we are all certainly thinking spring.  Before you make all of your plans, check out the newly uploaded church calendar under the ‘about’ tab!

Listen to the Messages Again

After several months of work, we are now able to put the Tabernacle messages online!  We are thrilled to make this ministry of the Word available to listen to, download, or subscribe to.  Check out the Messages page by looking under the ‘about’ tab or by typing www.tbc-w.com/messages !  May the Spirit of God take the Word of God and make you more like the Son of God, to the glory of God the Father.

Men’s Revival Prayer Breakfast

All men!  Please come to our revival prayer breakfast on Saturday, September 24th – 8 AM.  We need revival in a great way.  We’ll eat breakfast at 9 AM.  I hope you can make the time to come.

Fall Calendar is Here

Check out the TBC fall calendar on the events page.  You will be ‘in the know’ about what is happening at TBC.  Ask God to bless the ministry here as we invest in lives for His glory!

Praise for Wonderful People

It is that time of year when we send off all of our college students to the schools to which God has called them.  We are so blessed with college students and rising college students that have been faithful and involved in the ministry this summer.  We pray God’s richest blessings as they go back to school.  Oh, and what about all of those young people who organized their own time to go pass out 700 VBS flyers?  What a blessing!  Oh, and what about the Douglas family who has been such a key building block in the church here for so many years?  Praise the LORD for such wonderful people!

Sacrificial Sunday Offering

We are praying and are excited about our sacrificial offering on June 5th for the new building.  Give unto the Lord and let’s see what He will do!

New Building Rendering Added

In case you have not seen the latest addition to the plans for our new building, go to the new building page (http://tbc-w.com/about/new-building/) and check out the rendering.  It is a picture of the new building as if it were already built on our grassy lot!  It is so exciting!  Don’t forget to pray and prepare for the sacrificial offering on June 5th!

What the Policeman Said

I must admit that for just a moment, I was totally blown away by what the officer had said.  I do not know why, but I guess that I was not expecting it.  He had been an officer for thirty years, serving his city and the people in it quite faithfully.  He had regularly driven by my own house just to look after my family.  I could tell from what other officers had said that he was highly respected.  Now he stood there at his retirement celebration, speaking before a group of his friends, family, fellow officers, and city leadership, and he said this, “I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but if you have seen anything good in me, it was because of my Savior!”  It was such a fitting statement for a man known for his few words; it was like Abraham Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address – short and very sweet.  Honestly, I wanted to cheer.  What a great way for a TBC member to retire.  Praise be to God.  What a testimony and an inspiration to all of us to be a witness wherever we are!  Thank you, officer!

Great Valentine’s Banquet

Church family – what a great banquet we had on Friday night!  We were thrilled to have so many come; what a great group.  That skit was very good as well; I’m sure one young couple will be getting lots of advice on communication from now on.  The food was great and the teens did a wonderful job of serving it.  Oh, and how about the spiritual food?  I think that was the best part.

Happy Valentine’s Day – We love our church family!

Preaching Class

We are having a great time in our preaching class this week.  We have learned all sorts of things that should help us be better communicators of God’s Word to the dear people of Tabernacle.  We are excited to be able to use those items in our preaching as soon as possible.

Classes have been busy.  We had six hours of class and chapel for the past three days and will head back to Williamsport tomorrow after classes finish.  We praise the Lord for the opportunity to learn and grow in our abilities to serve the Lord and are grateful for a church that makes this possible.

See you on Sunday!
